- CNN Money lists the best jobs in America. The list is based on a few different criteria like pay, job growth and stress. Given those criteria it seems a minor miracle that social work did, in fact, place in the top 100. Low stress: D. Benefit to society: A. True.
- I've just recently discovered the benefits of the farmers market. The produce is always cheaper (and at mine has usually been grown by a little Hmong man in the Twin Cities and I can find eggs laid by pasture fed hens (which is not easy to find). If you've never been, find the one closest to you and then go. In Minnesota the markets are usually open through Halloween. For my Ohio and points south friends, you've probably got some more time.
- Friday I came home to a blinking clock. The culprit: an overzealous, somewhat unfortunate squirrel.
- The life span of hispanics is starting to grow longer than whites and blacks. Interesting article because they can't figure out why this is happening but do offer some possibilities.
- For the girls and the entrepreneurs, Invent Fashion is a great project to check out. (Yes, I do know one of the designers.)
