In the mean time, let me show you what I've been reading:
- Someone made a list of Republicans they didn't like. While I'm not surprised at the top pick, I am happy they can recognize a true accomplishment of the administration that doesn't often get recognized. Possibly one other thing to add would be President Bush's State of the Union speech where he said that members of the Peace Corps and AmeriCorps contribute to the country the same as the military and Americans should spend two years of their lives volunteering for their country. To anyone who is a Republican or likes Republicans, I didn't really read the rest of the list and I don't care too much what it says.
- Keeping up the "government" theme, our elected officials can't pass US History despite making it quite often and the follow up, I got 87% on the test, you should try it.
- Since I work in health care, I feel like I have a pretty clear understanding of what happens when you have private insurance and what happens when you have a single payer (read: Medicare) system. Health care is a big topic and it will be for some time to come, so here's some things you should know about our system.
- Will the smoking ban in Minnesota help you live? Apparently it's more likely to help if you were exposed to a lot of second hand smoke in the past. Even Ohio has a statewide smoking ban now. Ohio, as in the place right next to Kentucky where they grow the tobacco.
- How smart are your colleagues? Is anyone else alarmed at where protective services fall relative to the people they protect? Anyone?
I got 84.85% on that quiz, and I'm not surprised at the ones I missed. Some of those were pretty obscure (as in, they weren't even covered in my more recent college level history classes).
