Just a few updates

When I left the country, it was 70* in Minnesota, gas was $3.00/gallon, and no one knew how expensive Sara Palin's clothes really were. It snowed on Sunday, gas is $2.20 here and I saw for $1.99 in Cincinnati, and an alarming number of people are interested in Sara's outfits. Seriously? Who cares?

Meanwhile, I found some other interesting things for you:

• I have heard of this Monavie Acai Juice, and now I'm glad I didn't try it. Can anyone tell me what an Acai berry is? And if they're so great, how come I can't get one in the grocery store?


• The poorest housing in the world, notable considering where I just came from. This site has sound, safe for work.


• Palin, if she were president. This site is hilarious but has an obvious bias against Sara Palin. Still, freaking hysterical. This site also has sound. It's generically safe for work, although if you work with Republicans who like her, might want to check it out at home instead.


• I cannot believe how expensive college is these days. I know people who've gone to some of these places. When I wanted to go to law school Dad said he'd help me but only if I want to a state school. Best advice I ever got, right after I wouldn't like being a lawyer.


• Amanda, please explain how taste buds in Japan evolved so dramatically different from my own. Yogurt?
